You have HOW many kids??

You heard right. I have five. And I love each and every one of them dearly - even in those brief moments where I am wracked with stress and feel as if I'm about to implode as they are whining, screaming, bickering, crying, and stimming out of control. No, I'm not Catholic...or Mormon for that matter, though I was once a member of the LDS church and I'm perfectly proud to say that I have grown up and decided that that particular religion is NOT for me and my family! And no, I'm not goaling for being the next big thing following the Duggars on television. (Though I think it's absolutely amazing at how well nurtured, well behaved, dedicated, and devoted that family is and if I had more familial and financial stability and a means to care for a family that large - why the heck not?! Kudos to them for raising such a beautiful family!)

I think having a large family is a wonderful thing. It helps to instill teamwork, generosity, compassion, forgiveness, sympathy, and a well nurtured spirit. I believe these things are harder traits to learn when in a home of say, two parents and an only-child. Is it difficult to raise a family this large? Certainly. There are many challenges but equally, if not more, blessings that come with those challenges. And that is what this blog will be about. My journey as a mother of five and all it's bliss, heartache, frustration, joy, and wisdom that comes with it. :)
